Goo Goo Dolls frontman Johnny Rzeznik is engaged. He recently proposed to his girlfriend of eight years, Melina Gallo. The couple met at a New York City record store signing and now plan to wed over the Johnny said: "I'm getting married in July, and I'm looking forward to that. It was one of those situations like, 'I'm not going anywhere. Grow up, get married, have a good time.' So that's what we're doing." It will be 47-year-old Johnny's second marriage. Thinking it through

I heard this in a movie once: If you date a girl and get married before you are ready, you're a d----. I know for myself, that rang true. I figured I would get married because I was old enough, it was time, people my age are having kids. However, even though those were all the conversations in my head. None of them were true for me. I wished I had listened to the one small urging feeling to just run away :), but then I would not be here, happy and single again :)
