3-Day Work Week? Yes, Please!

The second-richest man in the world says we should all be working no more than three days a week.

Carlos Slim (yes, that's his real name!) is the CEO of Telmex, a telecommunications giant. At a conference in Paraguay recently, he said it's time for a "radical overhaul" in the way people work.

The three-day work week comes with a catch. You wouldn't be able to retire until you were 70 or 75 years old.

Since that's already true for most of us anyway, yes, please, I'll take that three-day work week.

Weird Al Done?

Weird Al Yankovic is amazed at the buzz he created with the release of one video a day for eight days from his Mandatory Fun album.

Pretty cool stuff to choose from –personally, I think the best is Word Crimes, the parody of Blurred Lines, with Tacky (the parody of Happy) running a close second.

But here's an interesting bit of news: Weird Al says this could be his last album. "It's the end of my record deal. I've been under contract since 1982."

Not to worry. Just because there are no more albums DOESN'T mean there's no more Weird Al. He promises some singles – at the very least.

She's a Dinosaur, I'm a Blowfish

Kanye West chatted with GQ magazine a few days after the big KimYe wedding and had some interesting things to say.

For instance, he thinks his marrying Kim Kardashian has inspired others to take the plunge.

To him, Kim is the ultimate woman, and as cool as a "fighter jet or dinosaur!"

Yeah, he said that. Kim's a dinosaur.

But not to worry. He's a blowfish.

That's how he responds when he's attacked by the media, especially TMZ. "I'm not a shark, I'm a blowfish...I'm defending my name as someone's screaming something negative at me. That's a blowfish."

The new power couple: Jurassic Park meets Sea World.

Kover Up, Kim!

So on Keeping Up with the Kardashians this week, we learned that Brody Jenner, the 30-year-old stepbrother to the Kardashian Klan, walked in on his stepsister Kim in Thailand while Kim was shooting some sexy clothing-barely-there photos for her fiancé, Kanye, who wasn't on the trip. (This all happened last year, so don't get confused.)

Brody stopped dead in his tracks, shouted "Whoa!" and ran out of the room, screaming for Kim to cover up.

Yeah, clearly Brody doesn't have access to Instagram like 16 million other Kimites! If he did, he'd know that "cover up!" is not a phrase with which Kim's familiar...

Bey Teases "50 Shades"

They're calling it a teaser trailer. Beyonce posted this to her Instagram account over the weekend, leading people to believe that her music will be on the soundtrack for 50 Shades of Grey.

No official word yet on Queen Bey's involvement – not yet, anyway. The official first trailer for the film is due on Thursday, and there could be some news then.

A thought. In the context of the subject of the film and the book upon which it's based, maybe "teaser" trailer isn't the right expression.

Then again, it's perfect, isn't it?

"Game of Thrones" Gets Sort of Real

If you're a Throniac, you'll recall that England's Queen Elizabeth II visited the set of Game of Thrones a month or so ago, but declined sitting on the Iron Throne of Westeros.

Last week, the Queen's Guards made up for that slight by performing the theme from Game of Thrones during the changing of the guard.

Pretty cool to hear... I wonder how many people checked their GPS units to make sure they were still in London and not King's Landing.

Tyler Seguin, Human Golf Tee

Some people think you've got to be a little nutty to play hockey professionally.

Tyler Seguin of the Dallas Stars proved that theory true when he laid down at his own golf tournament, and let a golfer tee off from Tyler's crotch.

He was wearing a special cup with the tee attached, but still…

The speed of a good golf swing can reach up to 100 mph. One small calculation, and he's singing soprano for a long time.

Watch the video. The shot was dead on, and Tyler reports that it tickled…

Where Would They Be Without Their iPhones?

Kim Kardashian hit the 16-million follower mark on Instagram, and celebrated by posting this picture of herself in a bikini.

Meanwhile, sister Khloe jumped into a bubble bath with sister Kourtney's boyfriend – apparently for a press conference? Otherwise, you figure out what the microphone is for…

All of which raises an interesting question: if it weren't for iPhones, would the Kardashians even exist?

Farewell, James Garner

Film and television actor James Garner passed away of the weekend at the age of 86.

He spent over five decades on TV and in movies, frequently playing comedic roles, but sometimes tackling serious parts as well.

He'll likely be best remembered for his early TV work on Maverick, or perhaps the 70's series, The Rockford Files.

But he was a great pitchman too, as you can see from this 80's era commercial for Polaroid.

That's back when cameras actually used film.
