Ask for a review!
Many of you may be completing your internship for college credit, in which case your school may ask your supervisor to complete an evaluation of your work so far throughout your internship. However, if for some reason this is not a requirement or you’re not completing your internship for school credit you may want to ask your internship supervisor to sit down with you and talk about how you have been performing at your internship thus far. This may sound a bit intimidating and nerve-wracking but it will give you a chance to hear directly from your supervisor what you have been doing well, the things you need to improve upon, as well as new opportunities for you to explore at your internship. Asking your supervisor for an evaluation shows a great level of maturity and also shows that you are taking your internship seriously--and hey there’s nothing wrong with that! This may also be a great time to ask for advice and if you have been interning for a while with the same company this may open the door for future employment with them.
