Justin Timberlake will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and perform at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Timberlake is tied with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for the most VMA nods this year. JT has six, including for Video of the Year.
Justin joins previously announced performers Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke.
The last winner of a Video Vanguard Award was Timberlake's ex, Britney Spears, who won in 2011.
Past Vanguard winners include Madonna, Peter Gabriel, REM, Beastie Boys and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
MTV also announced that the VMA pre-show will feature live performances from YouTube sensation Austin Mahone and Nickelodeon actress Ariana Grande, who the network calls the "new faces of pop."
The awards will be held in Brooklyn's new Barclays Center arena on August 25th.
