Usher came to the defense of his protégé Justin Bieber, telling Ellen DeGeneres that he blames social media and the media itself for his bad press.
Ur-sher said: "I think all of us in some way have humble beginnings that pan out to be incredible and we hope that in his transition as friends and family who has helped him be who he is. That he'll continue to just mature but you know in this days age of social media. There is no privacy and that kind of trail and elimination period is kind of done in front of a camera."
"It's been done in many, many other celebrities are product of it and some come out bad and some come out good. I am hoping for the best. I don't look at as a negative though. I look at it as a teenager. A teenager having to live his life in front of a camera. Imagine if you had to do that as a teenager."
In a new interview with Billboard magazine, Taylor Swift was asked what advice she would give to Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande.
She said: "I never give advice unless someone asks me for it. One thing I've learned, and possibly the only advice I have to give, is to not be that person giving out unsolicited advice based on your own personal experience. I've always had a lot of older people giving me advice because I'm young, and in the end, it all comes down to who you want to be remembered as. Just be that."
For Memorial Day, Katy Perry had a party at her place that included a few good friends--including John Mayer.
It has been two months since their second breakup.

Katy Perry just bought herself three adjacent lots in the Hollywood Hills, including one with a mid-century home and guest house on it. She paid $11.2 million for the land. The crazy part is that none of the properties were actually on the market.
The pad was built in 1953 and has floor-to-ceiling glass walls with an open floor plan. The home features three bedrooms, three bathrooms, city views, a living room with 14-foot ceilings and a fireplace, and a kitchen with stainless steel countertops and appliances.
There's also a big yard and pool as well as a two-bedroom, one-bath guest house for Katy's friends.
