Lady Gaga donated $1 million to the Red Cross to help people affected by Superstorm Sandy.
She posted on her blog that she's pledging the money on behalf of her parents and sister. She also wrote that she "wouldnot be the woman or artist" she is today" if it weren't for places like the Lower Eastside, Harlem, the Bronx and Brooklyn."
