Alterior Motives With Sarah Palin's Resignation?
Governor Sarah Palin announced, Friday, that she will step down as Alaska's chief executive by the end of the month. She added that she will not seek election to a second gubernatorial term in 2010.  During her speech she said, "Only a dead fish goes with the flow."

According to CNN, a Republican source close to her said that it was a "calculation" she made that "it was time to move on." The source also said that Palin's "book deal and other issues" were "causing a lot of friction" in Alaska.  It's speculated that she is "mapping out a path to 2012."

Palin, who was the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, has been thought of as one of the 'lead-cards' for the GOP nomination in 2012.

Her decision to step down as governor speaks to the speculation that she might just be planning to run for the White House.

How To Get Tickets To Michael Jackson's Memorial
Jackson family spokesperson Ken Sunshine and AEG CEO Tim Leiweke met at a news conference Friday to discuss the arrangements that have been made to commemorate Michael Jackson.

Who: Winners selected by entering at staplescenter.com.

What: Memorial Service

When: Tuesday, July 7 at 10AM

Where: Staples Center (live), Nokia theater (simulcast on three screens) in Los Angeles, CA.

There are 17,500 tickets available. There will be 11,000 tickets given out for people to attend the service inside the Staples Center.  6,500 tickets for people to view the service from a simulcast at the Nokia theater, and 9,000 tickets have been given to the Jackson family to use at their discretion.

Fans have had trouble registering due to the amount of traffic the site has experienced in such a short period of time.  Be patient!

The winners will be drawn and will receive a code for ticketmaster, they will be notified on Sunday between 11AM and 8PM.  Winners will need to arrive at the Staples Center on Monday morning to pick up two tickets and two wristbands.

You must get the tickets this way because distribution of tickets at the Staples Center or Nokia theatre will not be available. Also, if you are not selected as a winner it is recommended that you watch the memorial from your home as no crowds will be allowed to accumulate outside of the Staples Center.

"No details forthcoming about memorial, it's still being developed," Ken Sunshine, Jackson family spokesperson, told reporters.

We will keep you posted as we get more information.

Brad Pitt Hitches A Ride With The Paps

While cruising Franklin Village Thursday, Brad Pitt's vintage motorcyle decided it would be a good time to break down.

Already late for a meeting, the 45-year-old actor, quickly decided to hop in the car of an unsuspecting shutter-bug.

Once in the car, it's pretty clear that Pitt wanted out, after being bombarded with questions by the persistant photog in the back.

Lucky for Brad, it only took a few blocks until they returned him to his Los Feliz home.  There's no place like home.
