Im a Youtube junkie! I spend way too much time scouring the site for amazing videos. This is my outlet to share with you some of my discoveries. Enjoy!
So raise your hand if you had heard about the 3 people mysteriously seen 'flying' in NYC over the weekend? Its ok if you didnt, unless you actually live in NYC it was all the rage from people who didnt quite know what was going on. All that was known, was there was something (which appeared to be and looked like: people) flying over various locations in southern Manhattan & surrounding touristy areas like the Statue of Liberty & the Brooklyn Bridge. Everybody who did witness this firsthand couldnt seem to explain what it was...but it definately was enuff for some residents to call into news outlets and radio stations to see if anybody had an explanation. Well now we do...
Pretty clever idea if you ask me...but what was the intent by it? Was it just to 'do it'? Or is there more to the story?
Well as it turns out, this was all just a marketiing stunt by 20th Century Fox to promote their new film 'Chronicle" which comes out this friday (2/3). If you watched the video til the very end you see the reveal.
In the movie the main characters develop a bunch of special powers, one of them being the ability to fly, which makes the flying men over NYC make alot of sense now.
If you ask me i like it. it created a nice internet buzz and its only Monday. The next days leading up to the films relase i think you will see more people sharing this video.
Rides...some people love em and some cant stomach em.
Its all good if youre one of those that dont like em. Theyre not for everyone. But my advice is, if its something you already know you are gonna freak out about, then maybe its a good idea to stay away from them.
Thats what should have been the case here.
But...when you have a cute daughter who is dying to go on a ride, even one that you know youre not gonna like, how do you turn that down?
In Thorpe Park, located in England, they got a pretty cool rollercoasted based on the 'Saw' movies. As an added bonus...similar to rides like the Slingshot & Sky Coaster here at Darien Lake...they have installed cameras behind all the seats to show the reactions of patrons who ride. At the end of the ride, in the gift shop, you get the option to purchase a DVD of your experience on the ride.
Out of all the DVDS they have ever sold, my guess is none of them are as crazy as this one.
If the sight of puke is unpleasant to you, then i dont reccomend you watch this video. But if you can handle it...then oh man you gotta see this!!
The poor guy...even worse the poor girl who appears to have gotten some on her.
It also makes me wonder what happened to whoever was sitting behind them, they must have gotten sprayed with that first blast of puke...and how about the ride workers who come and open the overhead seat bars...seeing that last bit of puke he did on his jeans has got to embarrasing as well.
I cant even imagine how many times this guys daughter showed this video to her friends where they laughed and laughed.
well then again it did make its way to Youtube...so probably alot.

So the latest internet craze has been these 's**t people say' vidoes that have all gone viral the past month.
It all started with the 'S**t Girls Say' video that came out in December by Graydon Sheppard (& aslo featuring Juliette Lewis) which was a parody of all these little funny things that...girls say.
A month later that clip has now gotten 10 million views and has spawned so many spinoffs its crazy.
On top of two follow-up vidoes by the creators 's**t girls say 2 & 3'. Another Youtube user made a 's**t guys say' video which then spawned everybody else making their own version of these using every possible racial, sexual & physical stereotype you can think of. For examples of the dozens of other parody videos you can also watch just type in 's**t girls say' on youtube and on the right hand column you will see the links to all the other ones too. each one of them is hilarious!
However, some people may say nothing is as good as the original, and i disagree. While 's**t girls say' may have started the trend of these viral videos....this one im about to share with you closes it out.
Created by the comdey duo of Tripp & Tyler who are known for making a string of funny Youtube videos, 'S**t Nobody Says' is pretty much the last video spawned from all these other 's**t people say' videos that hasnt already been thought of.
The best part about it, is that its spot-on, pretty much EVERYTHING said in this video, you never hear or will every hear...anybody say...
Pretty funny stuff. For the full effect i also recommend you go on Youtube and check out alot of the other ones floating around there too.
As of right now this video has 3.5 million views which is already making it one of the most successful of the parody videos that have come out. For a look at the original 's**t girls say' video heres the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-yLGIH7W9Y
After watching it though, i am not responsible for you wasting the next hour watching all the other ones. lol

I remember when i was 12 i would spend every other weekend at my grandparents house. I used to look forward to it cause it was like an escape from home and plus my grandparents would always buy me anything i wanted.
Most of the time spent there though would just be me watching TV. there wasnt really a whole lot to do. No computer or anything. but yet i still used to look forward to going there. Weird.
Like most of us, whether your grandparents are still alive or not, there's a big generation gap between a grandpa or grandma and a grandson or granddaughter. They listened to paul anka, frank sinatra and watched movies by cary grant and judy garland. while we listen to lil wayne and lady gaga and watch movies by hugh jackman and natalie portman.
but once in awhile you get those grandmas that are a little more 'hip to todays times'.
like this one for example.
The kid goes by the name of Frank Twitchy. He apparantly wanted to make a video of him lipsyncing to Tygas song 'Rack City'. Only problem was...he needed a backup dancer in the background. Thats where Grandma comes in...
**WARNING: The lyrics in this video are unedited so this video is not reccomended for minors. If you ARE in fact a minor...then instead of clicking the video, just go to this link instead: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Os-CACRwM8&feature=relmfu
Even though the lyrics are pretty intense and sexually explicit. That kinda makes the video even funnier, because its not something you expect a 70-year old grandma to be singing along to. She even has the 'cooking' dance' down pretty good which means they might have practiced this a few times. The video has only been out for a couple days and yet already surprassed 6 million views on YouTube and even inspired a few parody videos.
needless to say, after watching the video...this grandma is now the coolest grandma in the rap game. all other grandmas need to step it up from here on in. man i would love it if more videos like these start surfacing.
Another year is behind us which means another awesome 'year-end' mashup from the extremely talented DJ Earworm.
For the past 4 years, he has taken some of the greatest hits of that particular year and mashed them up into one giant super wicked killer megamix of sorts.
His earlier works usually were just a mix/transition between songs while the last 2 years Earworm has pretty much 'created his own new song' based on the vocal arrangements and lyrics from these existing ones. That includes the melody, hook and even instrumentation.
His 2011 mashup 'World Go Boom' could pretty much be his best work yet. See for yourself...
Most of the songs picked if you have notices were mostly hits from the earlier parts of 2011 up to the end of the summer. Im guessing thats mostly because of all the hours/months that are probably involved in putting together the mashup and video etc. Using hits from songs that came out in November lets say, would probably delay production.
Here is a list of the 25 songs used for his United State of Pop mashup:
Adele - Rolling In The Deep
Adele - Someone Like You
Black Eyed Peas - Just Can't Get Enough
Bruno Mars - Grenade
Bruno Mars - The Lazy Song
Britney Spears - Till The World Ends
Cee Lo Green - F* You
Enrique Iglesias - Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)
Foster the People - Pumped Up Kicks
Jennifer Lopez - On The Floor
Jeremih feat. 50 cent - Down On Me
Katy Perry - Firework
Katy Perry - E.T.
Katy Perry - Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)
Lady Gaga - Born This Way
LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem
LMFAO - Sexy and I Know It
Lupe Fiasco - The Show Goes On
Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger
Nicki Minaj - Super Bass
OneRepublic - Good Life
Pink - Raise Your Glass
Pitbull - Give Me Everything
Rihanna - S&M
Rihanna - We Found Love
And there you have it. Until next year, this is a nice way to look back at the year that was 2011, musically.
So those iphone games are really addicting am i right?
its trivial too, how in this day and age when all these PS3 & Xbox games rely on supersharp HD graphice or 3-D gameplay to make the experience as real as possible...yet the simple iphone games like 'angry birds', 'temple run', 'fruit ninja' & 'ant crusher' are still more addicting.
WARNING: if you have never downloaded or played any of the above games then i reccomend you do so at your own risk as it more than likely will take up all of your free time for the next month or so once you become addicted to these games.
So anyways...lets talk about the game 'ant crusher' for a sec...which is one of those simple yet addicting games. Sure a human can do pretty well at it, but i wonder how well a non-human would do at it? like...a frog for example?
well lets find out
So how bout that surprise ending too huh?
i dont know what it is lately with me finding these videos with unexpected endings to them, but its funny.
And if youre curious as to how any other insect-eating animals would do at this game as well...i found another video of a guy and his iguana trying the same thing. check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTpldq3myV0&feature=related
makes me wonder now if apple will start developing video games for the iphone geared towards non-humans after the popularity of this video?
ok well probably not. but would still be cool if they did.
Tis the season...for all sorts of fun Xmas themed holiday events.
For those with kids, im sure at some point in time you may have had to attend an event or school play or some sort of holiday function where youre young'n played a role or participated in. And what an amazing thing it must have been to watch.
Even better if you were lucky enuff to have it recorded on film or on your computer somewhere so you can re-watch your pride and joy for years and years to come.
Unless i guess...you are the parents of this next girl...
Such a cute little girl playing the role of what seems to be a witch in her schools holiday play.
she delivers her lines very well and even with good emotion.
then...as soon as it seems her last line is said...an unexpected 'surprise' happens...
as to not ruin the moment...i will let you all see for yourselves...
For the record, the language they are speaking is Greek. Aside from that little is known about the girl or the play she was in.
Maybe she had bad nerves, as is common for kids her age, but one thing is for sure...her performance will be watched over and over and over again. More than any other performance that school has probably ever had. And i feel bad for the girl who has to play that role next year. i mean she's got big shoes to fill lol.
So i think its safe to say that most of the worst tv ads we have seen in our time are usually the locally produced ones.
regardless of where you live, locally-produced ads (most of the time done on a little or no budget) try and get creative without the help of an ad agency or professional consultant.
the results sometimes are just some of the worst garbage you have ever seen.
but yet it some cases they work.
last week i posted a status on my facebook asking people what they thought the worst local ad currently on tv was...got lots of different answers. and if you think for a second im sure you can probably come up with at least 2 or 3 bad ones as well that you may have seen recently.
but none of them i believe are as bad as this one.
sure this isnt a local ad from buffalo or the western new york area...but from orlando.
the ad is for a job fair going down at the fashion square mall on a certain date.
it also seems this 'job fair' is sponsored by a group called the hispanic achievers.
watch and see this train wreck of a commercial for yourself.
girl you aint heard?
not sure what angle exactly the director was trying for here...i mean i get that he wanted to make this commercial specific to those who fit the demographic of said job fair. but his bad use of slang can almost be deemed as racist by some. not to mention the two girls were bad bad BAD actresses. but because its a local commercial you have to almost expect that. not many local business hold casting calls to find the perfect 'actor' or 'actress' to star in their tv ad. no they usually resort to friends or family members and because of that you end up with a commercial like this which could pretty much be deemed one of the WORST local tv ads in history. nobody knows how many people did end up going to that job fair at the fashion square mall that day or whether this commercial did the job of getting the word out or not. and nobody knows what happened to the 2 women in the commercial after this aired and whether they went on to star in other awesome commericals or big time hollywood movies. but what IS known, is after this commercial, i highly doubt the director ever filmed a commercial again. i mean i wouldnt hire him. would you?
